The objects featured here form part of several hundred objects collected in India by the artist over many research trips. Bought from makers, small shops and markets they are made with basic tools and equipment yet show simple and pragmatic design. Using scrap and waste materials these utilitarian objects and toys are batched produced and were purchased in the 'marketplace'. Fast disappearing from everyday use they show ingenuity and resourcefulness.

The Collection has been shown at various museums and art galleries across the UK and has recently found a permanent home at the Eames Institute of Infinite Curiosity l Eames Institute, Petaluma, California, USA.
